Using positive reinforcement in cooperative care transforms routine tasks—like hoof care, injections, grooming, vet visits, and trailer loading—into opportunities for trust and teamwork. Instead of compliance, I teach horses to participate willingly by reinforcing calm, voluntary behaviors. This builds a sense of safety, reduces stress and creates an effective partnership grounded in communication and choice.
